A Word From The Pastor—
Jesus encouraged his disciplles to be generous givers.
Matt. 10:8 says, "Freely you have received, freely give."
Jesus encouraged his disciples to go out as distributors
of God's gift to those whom they would have the privilege
of ministering to. It is tragic that many think the only gifts
we have are monetary. Other gifts can enrich the hearts and
lives of others far greater than a gift of money:
- We can give the gift of encouragement to others.
- We can give the gift of appreciation to others.
- We can give the gift of friendship to those who feel alienated.
- We can give the gift of kindness.
- We can give the gift of our Christian testimony to the world around us.
We will touch so many if one accepts the philosophy of life that
"it is more blessed to give than receive."
